Are sunny days over in your industry? Expectations are more though, resources are less? As a quality professional, do you hear “no time for improvement”? If your answer is yes, then welcome to the club! 😉
Obviously you are not alone, especially in today’s “VUCA” environment. As you recall, „VUCA“ is the acronym for Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity.
The problem is „VUCA“ world makes it even more difficult for driving strategical quality initiatives. But let‘s have a look at following hints which may help. 💪
For Volatility ▶ Be always prepared and never wait for perfect conditions, because it will never come 👉 Know your organization’s pain points and priorities. Start developing solutions for what really matters.
For Uncertainty ▶ Make the economic implication of your initiatives clear 👉 Improvement projects are usually like starting a diet. If you do not feel a solid reason, then you do not start. Emphasize the positive impact of these initiatives on product quality, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.
For Complexity ▶ Develop a pragmatic and tangible plan 👉 Reduce complexity for everybody. Start with small moves with a high probability of success. Make it clear what to do next. If your initiatives seem too „scientific” to understand, then you are heading in the wrong direction. Always remember: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” Leonardo da Vinci
For Ambiguity ▶ Communicate your initiatives considering “golden circle principle” 👉 Make sure that all stakeholders are well informed starting from “why” followed by “how” and finally “what” to achieve. Explain the cause and effect. https://lnkd.in/e2G7xT8V

I’d would love to hear your opinions and insights in comments.
